Interview Round One

This week was all about connecting with professionals and conducting interviews. On the positive side, I got an interview with Dr. Namuduri, SVP of Data Science and Analytics at DEPT. I learned a lot about quality campaigns, Machine Learning (ML), ChatGPT, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) which all play a highly important role in improving customer experience. ChatGPT uses machine learning algorithms to automate tasks for companies. As the name suggests, KPIs are performance measurements that are useful in maintaining customer satisfaction. In addition, as DEPT is a service company, I learned how the net promoter score makes or breaks the customer loyalty to a brand. Something that was interesting to me, was the challenges and or limitations of AI. AI can only to a certain extent predict factual information but is not a hundred percent reliable in fields like Finance and Healthcare, as they involve critical decision making. Thus, AI is not an “all-rounder”.
Along with this, I also got to work on my original work. My original work consisted of background information, what I needed to collect from my mentor and research. In addition, I researched a bit on some use cases of AI and CX. It was interesting to know that Generative AI is what fuels the Google Search engine and how AI plays a key role in Stripe’s financial operations. It is also being used in other start-ups too!
I am excited to find more professionals in the AI field and possibly conduct interviews.
My goals are to organize my findings I gather from various case studies and prepare my upcoming research presentation.
